needs to contact Wes Perdue at Evolve Counseling: 602.252.0771

Joe has reopened his practice as a Pastoral Counselor, specializing in addiction issues.

A pastoral counselor approaches therapy from the understanding that we all have a spirit.  Sometimes that spirit has been damaged.  For example, GLBT folks have often been spiritually abused by their religion of origin (see my article on this subject under "Publications") This type of abuse causes other psychological problems such as depression, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, and all types of addictive and compulsive behaviors.  In order to recover from these destructive behaviors one must heal from the spiritual abuse.   With over twenty years in the addiction field and over 30 years as an ordained minister, Joe has a background to assist clients look at their own spiritual needs, regardless of past religious backgrounds.  As a pastoral counselor, Joe does not push a particular religion but encourages each individual to find a spirituality that works to enhance that individual's mental health and personal growth experience.

Please feel free to contact Joe either by email (joe@joeamico.com) or at 602-284-2191 to make an appointment or set up an assessment of your needs.
